This interview was in two parts with some of the developers from the KiCad project (there are many people involved with making KiCad a reality). We talked with:

Everybody in the KiCad inner circle pronounces it key-cad, why do you insist on calling it cai-cad?

Does it really matter how it's pronounced?
Ist only important to knew what the other Person is talking about.

It's the same like the file Format gif.
There are several ways to pronounce it and it absolutly doesn't matter which Version you use.

I as an Austrian(the Country without cangoroos but with snow) pronounce KiCad completly different.
I've switched from Eagle to KiCad and am regegretting that I haven't switched much earlier.
